Through Thorns

The methodical practice of
Patience as a perpetual
Patient of unpaved paths
Only (maybe) psuedo-explored
Off the main bodies of rare disease
Is a skill I’ve sought elsewhere
In much pleasurable ways.

Though I suppose it’s through
Thorns, muck, and solitude
That patience gains a different
Persona; a parental, old
Wise one in the woods with
Strength not in spite of but
Because of broken branches.
